DS90LV027M — LVDS driver for point-to-point interconnects
With two drivers and no receivers on-chip, this part serves point-to-point or multidrop clock/data distribution in backplane, cable, and board-to-board interconnects where LVDS signal integrity is required.
TI no longer manufactures this exact order code in volume.
Rated at 155 Mbps per channel, the DS90LV027M can serialize a 155 MHz clock or 155 Mb/s data stream over a single differential pair. This aligns with SONET OC-3 and Fast Ethernet physical-layer rates, though the driver itself is protocol-agnostic. In practice, the 155 Mbps figure is the maximum toggle rate; the actual link margin depends on trace length, cable quality, and termination. For a 3.3V LVDS output swing, the differential voltage typically meets the 100 mV minimum threshold with several hundred millivolts of margin across short backplane traces.
