800 Mbps LVDS re-driver with CML/LVPECL input compatibility
The DS90LV001TMX/NOPB is a single-channel LVDS buffer and re-driver that accepts CML, LVDS, or LVPECL input levels and outputs a re-conditioned LVDS signal at up to 800 Mbps. The 1.4 ns propagation delay adds to the total link budget — at 800 Mbps the bit period is 1.25 ns, so this part contributes roughly one bit-time of latency through the re-drive path.
Signal-conditioning role in high-speed serial links
This is a simple re-driver — it reconditions the signal amplitude and edge rates but does not perform equalization or pre-emphasis. For backplanes or cables longer than a few metres where ISI is the limit, a part with input equalization like the DS25BR101TSDE/NOPB is the better fit. The 8-SOIC footprint is a standard 3.90 mm-wide body, 4.90 mm long — the same land pattern as a generic SOIC-8, so no custom footprint is needed for the PCB layout.
