Design-in checklist for PCB layout and supply rails
Surface-mount SOT-23-3 package: three-pin layout (VDD, GND, OUT). A 0.1 µF bypass capacitor placed within 5 mm of the VDD pin is recommended. The supply current draw is 3.6 mA max, so a standard 78xx linear regulator or automotive-grade LDO can power it without thermal concerns. The analog output voltage scales linearly with the perpendicular magnetic field. For a 2.7 V supply, the output swings from ~0.25 V (south pole) to ~2.45 V (north pole). At 38 V supply, the output range scales proportionally — confirm the ADC input range and supply voltage before committing.
