The DRV5053CAQDBZTQ1 is a single-axis linear Hall-effect sensor from Texas Instruments that outputs an analog voltage proportional to the applied magnetic field. The sensing range is ±35 mT, which covers common current-sensing shunt fields and linear position detection in motorized actuators. The 20 kHz bandwidth is fast enough to track PWM current ripple in a motor drive without significant phase lag.
Supply flexibility and output drive
The device operates from a 2.5 V to 38 V supply, so it can run directly off a 3.3 V logic rail, a 5 V sensor bus, or a 24 V industrial supply without a separate regulator. Maximum supply current is 3.6 mA, and the analog output can source or sink up to 2.3 mA — enough to drive the input of a typical microcontroller ADC or a comparator directly.
It is supplied in a SOT-23-3 package (TO-236-3 / SC-59 equivalent), which is hand-solderable with a fine-tip iron or hot-air rework station. The package is ROHS3 compliant.
