Automotive BLDC gate-driver core
The DRV3245BEPHPRQ1 is a three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver from TI's automotive-grade portfolio, built on Power MOSFET technology. AEC-Q100 qualification (Grade 1, -40°C to +125°C) means it is characterized for under-hood and engine-bay ambient temperatures — the 125°C junction ceiling gives margin for self-heating from the gate-drive current.
Control interface and package
The driver accepts both PWM and SPI control interfaces — the SPI port handles configuration, diagnostics, and register-based current regulation, while the PWM inputs accept direct duty-cycle commands from the ECU or a separate motion controller. The 0.5 mm pitch demands a controlled-impedance layout for the SPI bus if the trace length exceeds 50 mm.
