The Texas Instruments DM7414N is a hex inverter with Schmitt trigger inputs, packaged in a through-hole 14-DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) body. Each of the six inverters accepts a single input and provides a clean, hysteresis-switched output, making it a standard choice for debouncing switch signals, squaring up slow edges, or conditioning noisy clock lines in 5 V logic systems.

Propagation delay and hysteresis thresholds
Maximum propagation delay is 22 ns at 5 V with a 15 pF load. The Schmitt trigger low threshold is 1.1 V and the high threshold is 2 V, giving roughly 0.9 V of hysteresis — enough to reject a few hundred millivolts of noise on a slow-rising input without false toggling.
Output drive and quiescent draw
Each output can source 800 µA and sink 16 mA. The quiescent supply current is 60 mA max. The asymmetric drive (strong sink, weak source) is typical of TTL-family outputs — it drives standard TTL or LSTTL loads but may need a pull-up for CMOS inputs that require rail-to-rail levels.
Supplied in a 14-pin plastic DIP with 0.300-inch (7.62 mm) row spacing. The through-hole leads suit prototype boards, socketed designs, or legacy PCB layouts where a surface-mount reflow is not an option. The supplier device package is 14-PDIP.
Texas Instruments lists the DM7414N as Active. It is RoHS non-compliant, so verify your assembly's RoHS exemption policy before committing to a lead-bearing part.
