Dual 10-bit DAC with voltage or current output
The DAC53002RTER: Settling time is 25 µs in voltage mode and 60 µs in current mode, which sets the update rate ceiling for closed-loop control or waveform generation. The part uses a string DAC architecture and requires an external voltage reference — the reference pin is not internally generated, so the output span tracks whatever reference voltage is supplied.
Bus interface and digital control
Both I2C and SPI interfaces are available on the same pins, selected by the logic level on a dedicated pin at power-up — the same PCB layout can serve either bus protocol without a board spin. INL is ±4 LSB max and DNL is ±1 LSB max — the DNL spec guarantees monotonicity, which matters for closed-loop servo applications where a non-monotonic transfer function would cause oscillation.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly with the exposed pad soldered to a PCB thermal land improves heat spreading; the datasheet's recommended land pattern should be followed to keep the thermal resistance within the design budget.
ROHS3 compliant per the manufacturer's declaration, which clears EU and global regulatory requirements without an exemption review.
