Drive strength and bus loading
With 32mA source and 64mA sink capability, this transceiver can drive heavily loaded backplanes or multiple memory-array inputs. The asymmetric sink current is typical for 5V bus transceivers where the low-level noise margin is tighter. Plan the fan-out count against the input current of each load; the 64mA sink handles up to 64 LSTTL loads per output.
