Device identity and board function
The CD74HC147PWT is a 74HC-series priority encoder from Texas Instruments, packaged in a 16-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) surface-mount outline. It encodes ten active-low inputs into a four-bit binary output, asserting the highest-priority active line — a standard function for interrupt management in processor-based systems or for reducing parallel data bus wiring.
Supply and temperature envelope
Output drive is rated 5.2 mA source and 5.2 mA sink at the rated supply — enough to drive a standard CMOS logic input or a low-power LED indicator, but not a heavy bus. For a longer fan-out, buffer the outputs.
Production status and compliance
It is fully ROHS3 compliant — no exemptions expiring — so it passes the environmental requirements for EU-market builds without a waiver.
