Quad 2-input NOR gate for 2V–6V logic systems
The CD74HC02M is a Texas Instruments 74HC-series quad 2-input NOR gate in a 14-SOIC surface-mount package. Rated for the industrial/military temperature span of -55°C to 125°C, this gate suits environments where the ambient swings wide — engine bays, outdoor telecom cabinets, or downhole instrumentation. The 5.2 mA output high/low drive is enough to fan out to four or five standard 74HC loads without a buffer. Propagation delay is 15 ns typical at 6V with a 50 pF load — fast enough for clocked logic up to about 30 MHz in a single-gate path, but the cumulative delay through four cascaded gates adds 60 ns to the signal chain, so timing closure on a 50 MHz bus needs a faster family like 74AC or 74LVC.
Supply rails, input thresholds, and board-fit
Input logic-low threshold is 0.5V to 1.8V; logic-high is 1.5V to 4.2V, so a 3.3V CMOS driver's 0V/3.3V swing meets both thresholds cleanly across the supply range. The tube packaging is typical for engineering samples or low-volume builds; production quantities often ship on tape-and-reel, but this order code is tube only.
