Quad 2-input XOR gate in 14-TSSOP
It contains four independent XOR gates, each with two inputs, in a surface-mount 14-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width). The 4000B family is known for its wide supply range of 3V to 18V, making it a flexible choice for mixed-voltage and battery-powered boards where a separate regulator for the logic rail is undesirable.
The 3V to 18V supply range means this XOR gate can run directly from a 3.3V microcontroller rail, a 5V industrial bus, or a 12V automotive battery without a level shifter. No separate industrial-grade or military-grade ordering code is needed; the same CD4030BPW serves both.
Quiescent current and propagation delay
Maximum quiescent current is 1 µA across the full supply range. In a battery-powered sensor node or an always-on supervisory circuit, that leakage is negligible — the gate consumes essentially nothing when the inputs are static. The propagation delay is 100 ns at 15V with a 50 pF load. That speed is adequate for control logic, debounce circuits, and low-frequency data paths, but it is not a high-speed gate for clock distribution or fast bus arbitration. If the XOR is in a timing-critical path, budget the 100 ns worst-case against your clock period.
