AEC-Q100 Bluetooth 5.0 MCU for automotive wireless nodes
The Texas Instruments CC2640R2FTWRGZRQ1 is a Bluetooth v5.0 TxRx + MCU combining a 2.4GHz radio with an ARM Cortex-M3 core, 128kB Flash, and 28kB SRAM. The part integrates I²C, I²S, SPI, and UART serial interfaces, and provides 31 GPIOs for sensor and actuator control.
Radio performance and memory headroom
Receiver sensitivity of -97dBm and a programmable output power up to 5dBm give the link budget needed for reliable BLE connections in noisy automotive environments. The 128kB Flash and 28kB SRAM leave room for the Bluetooth stack plus application code, with enough headroom for OTA firmware updates if the design uses the 1Mbps data rate.
Package and supply range
Housed in a 48-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (7x7mm), the CC2640R2FTWRGZRQ1 uses a wettable flank for automated optical inspection. Supply voltage spans 1.8V to 3.8V, suiting both 3.3V and 1.8V rail designs.
