Single-cell overvoltage watchdog
The BQ294682DRVT is a dedicated battery protection IC from Texas Instruments, designed to monitor a single lithium-ion cell and assert a fault output when the cell voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold. It operates across -40°C to 110°C, covering the full industrial temperature band and the upper end of automotive cabin environments — the protection circuit stays active even when the pack is hot from fast charging or high-rate discharge.
Housed in a 6-WDFN exposed pad package (also designated 6-WSON, 2x2 mm), the device is surface-mount with a small footprint suited for space-constrained battery packs or protection PCBs integrated into the cell holder.
