The BQ24300DSGT is a Texas Instruments battery protection IC for single-cell Lithium Ion packs, integrating over-current, over-temperature, and over/under-voltage fault protection into an 8-WSON (2x2 mm) package.
Fault protection coverage and temperature grade
The device monitors for over-current, over-temperature, and over/under-voltage events on the battery — a single-chip solution that eliminates discrete comparators and reference circuits from the BOM. Rated for 0°C to 125°C junction temperature, it covers the industrial ambient range with margin for self-heating in a compact 2x2 mm WSON package. The 8-WFDFN exposed pad provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB copper plane — critical for dissipating heat during sustained over-current fault conditions.
