Single-cell Li-Ion linear charger with USB input
It integrates over-temperature, over-voltage, reverse-current, and short-circuit fault protection, reducing external component count for space-constrained designs. The 16-VQFN (3x3 mm) exposed-pad package suits wearable, IoT, and portable medical devices where board area is tight and thermal dissipation matters.
500 mA charge current and input voltage ceiling
With a maximum charge current of 500 mA, this part fills a single 500 mAh cell in about an hour — appropriate for small-form-factor devices where a 1 A charger would overshoot the thermal budget of the 3x3 mm package. The 10.2 V supply maximum means it runs cleanly from a 5 V USB bus (including the tolerance band up to 5.5 V), but it cannot survive a 12 V adapter or a 24 V industrial rail. If your input bus exceeds 10.2 V, step down first or select a higher-voltage charger IC.
The wide range also covers cold-crank conditions where the charger must still regulate correctly.
Programmable features and protection set
Charge current and charge timer are programmable via external resistors, giving the BOM engineer control over charge profile without I²C.

The supplier device package is 16-VQFN (3x3). Surface-mount only; no through-hole variant exists.
