Programmable charge current and protection set
Charge current is set via an external resistor — constant-current programmable, so the BOM can be tuned for the specific cell capacity and charge time target. The 1A maximum covers the majority of small-format Li-Ion cells used in wearables, Bluetooth headsets, and medical patches. Over-temperature and over-voltage protection prevent runaway if the input supply or ambient conditions exceed the safe window; short-circuit protection on the output handles a miswired or damaged battery connector.
The part is supplied in a 10-HVSSOP package (3.00 mm width, 0.118" pitch), surface-mount.
