100k SPS, 16-bit SAR ADC for precision sensor front-ends
The ADS8344NB/1K is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Texas Instruments that samples at 100k samples per second over an SPI bus. The SAR architecture gives a deterministic conversion time — no pipeline delay — so each sample is ready exactly one clock cycle after the previous one finishes, which matters for multiplexed sensor scanning where channel-to-channel timing must be predictable. Input flexibility covers both differential and single-ended modes across 4 or 8 channels, configurable through the SPI command set. Industrial temperature grade (-40°C to 85°C) and the 20-SSOP package (0.209-inch body width) make it a standard fit for mixed-signal boards in factory automation, process control, and instrumentation where 16-bit dynamic range at 100 kHz throughput is the design target.
Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard SSOP guidelines — no special bake requirements beyond the MSL rating typical for TI's SSOP products.
