16-bit SAR ADC in a small 8-pin MSOP
The ADS8326IDGKT is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC from Texas Instruments' microPOWER™ series, sampling at 250k samples per second over an SPI interface. It accepts a single pseudo-differential or single-ended input through a track-and-hold front end, with the conversion ratio fixed at 1:1. The part is active and RoHS3 compliant, housed in an 8-VSSOP package (also listed as 8-TSSOP or 8-MSOP, 3.00 mm width) — a footprint that fits tight mixed-signal channels where board area is the constraint.
The operating temperature range spans -40°C to 85°C, covering industrial-grade environments like motor-drive feedback or outdoor telemetry nodes. An external reference is required; the reference type is not integrated, which gives the designer control over the voltage span and noise floor.
