24-bit sigma-delta ADC with integrated PGA and MUX
The ADS1219IRTET is a 24-bit sigma-delta ADC from Texas Instruments, packing a 4-channel input multiplexer and a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) into a 16-WQFN (3x3 mm) package. It communicates over an I²C interface and accepts both differential and single-ended inputs, making it a compact front-end for precision sensor acquisition.
1 kSPS sampling with industrial temperature range
The 1 kSPS sampling rate suits low-bandwidth measurement channels such as thermocouples, strain gauges, or pressure transducers. Supply voltage for both analog and digital rails spans 2.3 V to 5.5 V, allowing single-supply operation from a 3.3 V or 5 V rail without a separate regulator for the digital core.
Active production – sourcing and package options
It is offered in Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) packaging, which covers both volume reel and prototype quantities.
16-WQFN footprint and thermal pad
The 16-WQFN (3x3 mm) package has an exposed thermal pad that must be soldered to a PCB copper plane for rated thermal performance. The 0.50 mm pitch demands careful fan-out on a 2-layer board; a 4-layer stack-up with a solid ground plane under the pad is recommended for lowest noise.
