512 Kbit I²C EEPROM with AEC-Q100 qualification
The STMicroelectronics M24512-DRDW3TP/K is a 512 Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 64K x 8 bits, accessed through an I²C interface at clock frequencies up to 1 MHz. It is qualified to AEC-Q100, making it suitable for automotive under-hood and chassis-domain applications where extended temperature range and reliability are required. The device operates from a single 1.8V to 5.5V supply, covering both 3.3V and 5V logic rails without level translation.
450 ns access time and 1 MHz bus margin
The 450 ns access time at 1 MHz clock sets the read-cycle timing for the I²C bus. For a 512 Kbit device, this is typical for the density class; the bus master must account for the access delay when issuing sequential reads. The 4 ms write-cycle time for a page or word write means the bus is busy during the internal programming cycle — the host should poll the acknowledge polling sequence or insert a delay before the next write.
Automotive temperature range and package
MSL level is per the device's moisture-sensitivity classification.
The ROHS3 compliance covers current environmental regulations.
