Automotive-grade 2Kbit EEPROM for parameter storage
The ROHM BR93H56RF-2CE2 is a 2Kbit serial EEPROM with a Microwire interface, organized as 128 x 16 bits.
2 MHz Microwire — fast enough for most parameter logs
The 2 MHz clock rate delivers a read cycle under 8 µs and a write cycle (including the internal 4 ms page write) that does not stall a typical 10 ms control loop. If your application streams data faster than that, step up to the BR93H86RF-WCE2 (16Kbit, 1.25 MHz) for more capacity, but the 2 MHz speed on this part keeps bus occupancy low for the 2Kbit footprint.
It remains suitable for both new design-ins and ongoing production without a forced migration window.
Package and supply — 8-SOP, 2.5V to 5.5V
Housed in an 8-SOP package (8-SOIC, 4.40 mm width), surface-mount only. The wide supply range covers 3.3V and 5V logic rails without an external regulator. The write cycle time of 4 ms per word or page is consistent across the full voltage and temperature range.
