Automotive-grade 1Kbit I²C EEPROM for parameter storage
The ROHM BR24A01AF-WME2 is a 1Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 128 x 8 bits, accessed over an I²C bus running at up to 400 kHz (Fast-mode). It is part of ROHM's Automotive series and carries AEC-Q100 qualification, which means this part is qualified for use in automotive electronic systems — not just screened to an extended temperature range.
This covers under-hood, engine-bay, and outdoor telecom cabinets where ambient heat soaks the PCB. The BR24T01FVM-WTR sibling tops out at 85°C, so for any design that sees sustained heat above that line this part is the correct fit. The 5 ms write-cycle time per word or page is standard for this density and bus speed — adequate for storing calibration constants, VIN codes, or fault logs that update infrequently.
ROHS3 compliant.
