3.5V threshold — monitoring the 3.3V rail
The ROHM BD45352G-TR is a single-channel voltage detector (supervisor IC) in the BD45xxx series, designed to assert a reset signal when the monitored supply falls below a 3.5V threshold. This threshold sits about 200 mV above a nominal 3.3V rail, so the reset triggers before the rail drops out of regulation — giving the downstream MCU or FPGA a clean shutdown sequence. The active-low, open-drain output can be pulled up to any voltage up to the absolute maximum of the device, making it straightforward to interface with 3.3V or 5V logic without extra level shifters.
180 ms reset timeout — brownout ride-through
For a microcontroller booting from internal flash, 180 ms is ample headroom for the oscillator to stabilize and the bootloader to run.
The 105°C upper limit is typical for engine-bay-adjacent modules that see high ambient temperatures but not direct exhaust heat.
