Core specs and on-chip memory
The R7F100GMN3CFB#AA0 is a 16-bit RL78/G23 microcontroller running at 32 MHz, with 768 KB of Flash program memory, 48 KB of RAM, and an additional 8 KB of EEPROM on-chip — enough code space and data retention for sensor fusion, HMI, or field-logging firmware without external storage.
Package and board-fit
Supplied in an 80-LQFP (12x12 mm body) with a 0.50 mm pitch — the 80-LFQFP variant shares the same footprint. The 0.50 mm pitch requires a 4-layer PCB for clean fan-out of the inner rows; a 2-layer board will struggle with escape routing on the 70 I/O count.
Connectivity and data converters
Communication interfaces include CSI, I²C, LINbus, SPI, and UART/USART — enough to talk to most sensor modules, display drivers, and fieldbus transceivers without an external bridge chip. The 17-channel A/D converter can be configured as 8-bit, 10-bit, or 12-bit resolution, and the two 8-bit D/A channels provide analog outputs for set-point control or signal conditioning.
ROHS3 compliant — no exemption-based restrictions for EU or California markets.
