160 MHz RXv3 core with on-chip memory mix
The R5F566TAAGFN#30 is a 32-bit MCU from Renesas' RX series, built around the RXv3 core running at 160 MHz. This places it in the mid-to-high performance tier of the RX family, suitable for motor control, industrial networking, and multi-protocol gateway applications where the core handles both control loops and protocol stacks without a separate communications processor. On-chip memory includes 256 KB of Flash (256K x 8), 64 KB of RAM (64K x 8), and a separate 32 KB EEPROM array (32K x 8). The dedicated EEPROM block is useful for storing calibration constants, configuration parameters, or fault logs without wearing the Flash program memory — a practical advantage over MCUs that emulate EEPROM in Flash with software wear-leveling.
