120 MHz RXv3 core with 1 MB on-chip flash
The R5F56609CGFM#30 is a Renesas RX600 series 32-bit MCU built around the RXv3 core running at 120 MHz. The core delivers the throughput for real-time control loops — motor field-oriented control, multi-axis servo coordination, or inverter switching — without an external DSP co-processor. Program memory is 1 MB of on-chip flash (1M x 8), backed by 128K x 8 of SRAM and a separate 32K x 8 data flash that doubles as EEPROM emulation. That split means the application code, runtime data heap, and calibration/parameter tables each have their own dedicated storage, avoiding sector-erase latency during live parameter updates.
Analog integration and connectivity for sensor-fusion designs
Fourteen 12-bit ADC channels and two 12-bit DAC channels are on-chip — enough to sample three-phase motor currents plus a resolver or encoder feedback without external analog front-ends. Connectivity covers CANbus (for J1939 or CANopen drives), EBI/EMI (for parallel display or SRAM expansion), plus I²C, LINbus, SCI, and SPI — enough to bridge a fieldbus gateway, a local HMI, and a daisy-chain of smart sensors on a single chip. The 53 general-purpose I/O in the 64-LQFP package leave room for a parallel LCD bus and a handful of discrete I/O without a port expander.
