Active RX65N with Ethernet and CAN for industrial control
The R5F565N4EGFP#30 is a current-production Renesas RX65N series 32-bit MCU built around the RXv2 core running at 120 MHz. It carries 512 KB of flash and 256 KB of RAM, enough headroom for a TCP/IP stack with a CANopen application layer and a local display buffer. The connectivity set — Ethernet, CAN, USB, and multiple SCI/SPI/I²C channels — targets networked industrial controllers, building automation gateways, and motor-drive communication modules where a single MCU handles both fieldbus and HMI.
Memory, peripherals, and temperature grade
Program memory is 512 KB of flash (512K x 8), and the 256 KB SRAM (256K x 8) supports dual-frame buffering for Ethernet or graphics. The peripheral set includes DMA, LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT — enough to run a real-time control loop without external supervisor ICs. The 12-bit ADC block has 22 channels, and a single 12-bit DAC is on-chip. Packaged in a 100-LQFP (also listed as 100-LFQFP 14x14 mm), the device brings out 78 I/O pins.
Sourcing and compliance posture
It is RoHS3 compliant.
