The R5F51406AGFN#30 is a 32-bit single-core MCU from the RX140 series, built around the RXv2 core running at 48 MHz.
Peripheral set and connectivity
On-board peripherals include capacitive touch sensing, DMA, LVD, POR, PWM, temperature sensor, and WDT. Connectivity covers CANbus, I²C, SCI, and SPI — sufficient for industrial sensor nodes or actuator control loops where CAN and serial links share the same MCU. The analog front-end provides 18 channels of 12-bit ADC and two channels of 8-bit DAC, letting the MCU sample multiple sensor inputs and output a control voltage without external converters.
Package and board-fit
Housed in an 80-LFQFP (12x12 mm) package with 69 I/O lines, the MCU requires a standard surface-mount footprint. The 0.50 mm pitch on the LFQFP demands a 4-layer board for full fan-out; two-layer designs can route the outer rows but may struggle with the inner signal escape.
