The R5F51305BGFP#30: Capacitive touch sensing is a built-in peripheral, not a software library overlay — the RX130's touch engine runs independently of the CPU, so scanning electrodes during active code execution doesn't steal cycles from the main loop. This makes the part a direct fit for touch-button, slider, and proximity-detection panels where the MCU also handles LINbus or I²C communication.
Packaged in a 100-LQFP (Renesas supplies it as 100-LFQFP 14x14 mm), the part brings out 88 general-purpose I/O. The 0.5 mm pitch LQFP fans out on a 2-layer board for most designs; the 14x14 mm body fits within the common 15x15 mm keep-out for 100-pin MCUs, so a layout from an RX110 or RX210 part may reuse the same footprint with a pinout check.
Active production, ROHS3, and what the RX110 peer means for your BOM
The RX110, however, omits the capacitive touch peripheral and limits I/O to 50 pins in a smaller package. If your BOM was specified around an RX110 and you need touch sensing, the RX130 is the correct drop-in upgrade — but the pin count and package differ, so the board layout must be verified against the 100-LQFP footprint.
