Memory budget and peripheral fit for sensor-actuator nodes
With 4 KB of flash and 512 bytes of RAM, the firmware budget is tight — think a single sensor readout loop with a UART output, not a multi-threaded RTOS. The 8-channel 8/10-bit ADC covers basic analog sensing (temperature, pressure, light level) without an external converter. On-chip POR and WDT eliminate the external supervisor IC, saving board space and cost. The internal oscillator removes the crystal and its load caps — the MCU runs standalone with just a decoupling cap and the supply rail.
Package and board integration for space-limited layouts
The 16 GPIOs are enough for a few sensor inputs, a small keypad matrix, or driving a simple LED display — but plan the pin allocation before layout because there is no room for rework on a 0.65 mm pitch. Surface-mount only — no through-hole variant exists.
