RL78/G13 16-bit MCU in a 20-TSSOP footprint
The R5F1016DASM#30 is a 16-bit RL78/G13 microcontroller from Renesas, clocked at 32 MHz with 48 KB of on-chip Flash program memory and 3 KB of RAM.
Supply voltage and peripheral set
On-chip analog capture comes from a 6-channel ADC configurable to 8- or 10-bit resolution — sufficient for reading potentiometers, thermistors, or current-sense resistors in a closed-loop control scheme. Additional on-chip peripherals — DMA, LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT — reduce external component count. The LVD (low-voltage detect) can trigger a safe shutdown routine when the supply dips below a programmable threshold, which is useful in battery-powered designs where brownout detection is critical.
