32 MHz RL78 core with 128 KB Flash — mid-range control MCU
The R5F100PGAFA#10 is a 16-bit RL78/G13 microcontroller running at 32 MHz.
No second regulator needed for the core. Industrial temperature grade (-40°C to +85°C) covers outdoor telecom cabinets, engine-bay modules, and factory-floor controllers without active cooling.
Peripheral set — DMA, ADC, and serial buses
On-chip DMA offloads the CPU during ADC conversions or serial transfers. The 20-channel 8/10-bit ADC captures analog sensor data from thermistors, current shunts, or potentiometers without an external multiplexer. Connectivity includes CSI (clocked serial interface), I²C, LINbus, and UART/USART — enough for a LIN slave node in an automotive subnet, an I²C temperature sensor, and a debug UART on the same chip.
Renesas lists the R5F100PGAFA#10 as Active with ROHS3 compliance. No end-of-life notice, no NRND flag, no forced successor. This part is a safe BOM line for designs entering production now and for the next several years.
