LIN physical-layer interface for 12V/24V automotive nodes
The TJA1128DTK/0Z is a single-channel LIN transceiver that handles the physical-layer bus arbitration and wake-up for a LIN 2.x or SAE J2602 node. Full-duplex capability means the driver and receiver operate simultaneously, though LIN is a single-wire bus where the protocol manages collision — the full-duplex label reflects separate TXD/RXD paths, not simultaneous bus access. The 20 kBd data rate matches the standard LIN bus speed ceiling — fast enough for switch panels, wiper motors, and HVAC actuators, and slow enough to keep EMI under control on unshielded single-wire harnesses.
Temperature grade and package constraints for the board
This part can sit on the engine bay wall or near an exhaust heat shield without thermal derating — a critical advantage over Grade 1 alternatives. Housed in a HVSON-14 (3x4.5 mm) exposed-pad package.
