Flyback controller for isolated offline supplies
The NXP TEA19363T/1J is a GreenChip™ flyback controller designed for offline isolated power converters. It operates without an internal power switch, so an external MOSFET handles the primary-side switching. Switching frequency spans 25.5 kHz to 128 kHz, supporting valley-switching and quasi-resonant modes that reduce switching losses and EMI. Built-in fault protection covers over power, over temperature, and over voltage conditions, reducing the need for external supervisory circuitry.
Supply range and start-up behaviour
The Vcc/Vdd supply range of 0 V to 120 V allows the controller to be powered directly from the rectified DC bus without an auxiliary winding regulator, simplifying the transformer design. Start-up voltage is 14.9 V, ensuring the controller begins switching cleanly above the under-voltage lockout threshold.
Housed in a 10-SOIC package (3.90 mm width), the TEA19363T/1J fits standard surface-mount assembly lines and is supplied on tape and reel or cut tape. Operating junction temperature range of -25°C to 125°C covers industrial environments and most outdoor telecom enclosures.
ROHS3 compliant, meeting the latest restriction-of-hazardous-substances requirements for global shipping.
