Product details

8-channel bidirectional level translator with auto-direction sensing

The NXP NVT2008BQ,115 is an 8-channel bidirectional voltage-level translator that eliminates the direction-control pin by sensing the data flow automatically — the bus direction follows the drive side without a GPIO from the host controller.

Footprint and board integration — 20-DHVQFN with exposed pad

Mounting is surface-mount only; the package accepts Tape & Reel or Cut Tape delivery for prototype or production volumes.

Output drive and channel architecture

Outputs are configurable as open-drain or push-pull — open-drain suits multi-drop I²C or SMBus lines where multiple drivers share the bus, while push-pull gives faster edge rates for point-to-point links. The single-circuit, 8-channel-per-circuit topology means all eight bits translate as a group; there is no per-bit direction control, so the auto-sensing logic handles the turn-around transparently.

The device is ROHS3 compliant, meeting the current EU restriction on hazardous substances.
