Pressure range and analog scaling
The MPXH6250A6U is an absolute pressure sensor spanning 2.9 PSI to 36.26 PSI (20 kPa to 250 kPa), outputting a ratiometric analog voltage from 0.3 V to 4.9 V across that span. The transfer function is linear: at 20 kPa the output sits near 0.3 V, at 250 kPa near 4.9 V, with the supply rail at 5 V nominal. This absolute-reference sensor measures against a sealed vacuum cavity, so the output reflects true atmospheric or manifold pressure — not gauge pressure relative to ambient.
Supply and operating envelope
The sensor requires a regulated 4.74 V to 5.46 V supply — a standard 5 V rail with ±5 % tolerance keeps it within spec. Maximum overpressure is 145.04 PSI (1000 kPa), roughly 4× the full-scale pressure, providing margin against pressure spikes in pneumatic lines or boost pipes.
Housed in an 8-SOIC wide-body package (0.295 inch body width, 7.50 mm) with gull-wing leads and no port — the pressure inlet is the top of the package, exposed through the molding. Termination is gull wing, compatible with visual solder inspection.
Sourcing and compliance
NXP lists the MPXH6250A6U as Active with ROHS3 compliance.
