Device identity and key parametrics
The MC33886PVWR2: Rated for 5 A continuous output current, it drives a single brushed DC motor through a pair of half-bridge outputs configured for bidirectional control. The supply and load voltage range spans 5 V to 40 V, covering common automotive and industrial battery rails from a 12 V lead-acid to a nominal 24 V or 36 V system.
What the 5 A rating means for your motor selection
The 5 A continuous output is the DC current the internal H-bridge MOSFETs can sustain without exceeding the junction temperature limit at 25 °C ambient — derate this for elevated operating temperature and for the motor's starting surge, which can be 3–5× the running current.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly on a standard SOIC footprint; the exposed pad adds a solder-paste stencil step but is necessary for the 5 A output to stay within thermal limits.
RoHS3 compliant (2011/65/EU + 2015/863), with no exemptions for lead or other restricted substances in the package or die-attach.
