The NXP MC33772CTP2AE is a 6-channel Li-ion battery cell controller that monitors 3 to 6 series-connected cells.
Fault detection and digital interface
Built-in over/under-voltage fault protection monitors each cell independently — the controller flags a fault without waiting for the host MCU to poll, reducing the software burden on the BMS loop. The I²C and SPI interface options give the layout engineer flexibility: I²C saves pins on a shared bus with other sensors, while SPI offers a dedicated higher-speed channel for cell-voltage streaming during active balancing.
