250 MHz 18-bit register in 56-TSSOP
The 74ALVT16823DGG512 is an 18-bit D-Type flip-flop from NXP's 74ALVT series, clocked at 250 MHz with a positive-edge trigger and tri-state non-inverted outputs. It integrates two elements of 9 bits each, with a master reset function that clears all outputs asynchronously. The 3.1 ns max propagation delay at 3.3V and 50 pF load gives tight timing margin on a 250 MHz bus — the clock period is 4 ns, so the data must settle within 1.9 ns after the clock edge to meet setup time.
Dual supply and output drive
This part operates from two supply ranges: 2.3V to 2.7V and 3V to 3.6V, allowing it to sit on a 2.5V core rail and drive a 3.3V peripheral bus without an external level translator. The output drive is specified as 8 mA source / 24 mA sink at the low supply, and 32 mA source / 64 mA sink at the high supply — enough to drive a 50 pF trace or a bank of LED indicators through a resistor. Quiescent current is 100 µA, making it suitable for power-sensitive line cards where every milliamp counts.
