350 mA hold, 750 mA trip — the PTC that clears before the trace lets go
The 1206L035/16YR is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse from the POLY-FUSE 1206L series, rated for 350 mA hold current at 16 V. When the fault current exceeds 750 mA, the device trips in 100 ms typical, switching from low resistance (300 mOhm min initial) to a high-impedance state (1.2 Ohm max post-trip) that limits the current to a safe level. The 100 A maximum fault current rating means this PTC can interrupt a short-circuit current up to that level without rupturing — the polymer matrix heats and expands, creating a high-resistance barrier that holds until the fault clears or the supply is cycled.
Surface-mount 1206 concave — fits the standard footprint
The concave body allows visual solder-joint inspection after reflow — the side terminations are exposed along the package edge, so a standard 1206 land pattern works without modification. Supplied on tape and reel (Cut Tape also available), the package is compatible with automated pick-and-place assembly.
Active production, sourced per RFQ
No pin-compatible direct replacement exists — the 1206L series is the active family, so the same order code is the correct fit for existing designs.
