The Littelfuse 1.5KE100C is a 1500 W (1.5 kW) bidirectional Zener TVS diode in the DO-201AA axial-lead package, designed to clamp transients on general-purpose DC buses and signal lines.
Voltage selection and clamping margin
The 85.5 V reverse standoff (working voltage) means the diode does not conduct at the normal rail voltage; the 90 V minimum breakdown ensures it starts clamping before the downstream circuitry sees damaging overvoltage. Maximum clamping at 143.85 V limits the voltage spike seen by the protected load — the 11.1 A peak pulse current rating (10/1000 µs) confirms the diode can absorb the surge energy without failing short.
Bidirectional configuration and temperature range
