ORCA 3C logic fabric and memory budget
The OR3T1256PS208-DB is a Lattice ORCA™3C family FPGA with 186,000 usable gates and 6,272 logic elements. That gate count places it in the mid-density range of the ORCA 3 series — enough for a 32-bit soft-core CPU plus peripheral glue logic, or a moderate state-machine cluster in a telecom line card. On-chip block RAM totals 102,400 bits (12.8 KB). For a design that needs a small FIFO, a coefficient lookup table, or a register file, that is enough to keep external SRAM off the board for many control-path applications. The 171 user I/O are distributed across the 208-pin PQFP — enough for a 16-bit data bus, address, and control handshake with room for debug headers.
Core and I/O run from a single 3 V supply rail (nominal). That is a single-voltage FPGA — no separate Vccio bank voltages to sequence, which simplifies the power tree. No extended or industrial grade is listed, so this part stays inside the conditioned space.
Lattice Semiconductor lists the OR3T1256PS208-DB as currently active. That means the part is still in the manufacturer's price book and can be ordered through authorized distribution channels. For a BOM that already carries this order code, the supply line is open — no immediate need to qualify a replacement.
