What the 171 I/O and 63600 gates mean for your board
The OR2C26A4PS208I-DB is a Lattice ORCA™2 FPGA with 2304 logic cells and 63600 usable gates — enough fabric to absorb a handful of 8-bit counters, a small state machine, and some address decoding without reaching for a larger device. 171 I/O pins give you room to interface with a wide parallel bus, a bank of sensors, or a memory controller while still having spare pins for test headers and board-level handshake signals. The 36864 bits of on-chip block RAM handle small FIFOs, look-up tables, or coefficient storage without an external SRAM — enough for a 2K×18 or 1K×36 buffer. Runs from a 4.5 V supply rail, which is the nominal for many legacy 5 V-tolerant systems — check the I/O bank voltage compatibility if mixing with 3.3 V peripherals.
