Core supply and I/O — what the 1.1V rail demands of the board
The core supply range is 1.045V to 1.155V — a 1.1V nominal rail that must stay within 5% including ripple and load transient. A switching regulator with 1% set-point accuracy and a low-ESR output cap is the usual choice; an LDO adds dropout headroom if the upstream rail is 1.2V. The 381-CABGA footprint at 0.8 mm pitch routes cleanly on a 4-layer board with microvias; a 6-layer stack-up gives room for a solid ground plane under the core and separate power islands for the I/O banks. 203 I/O means most of the 381 balls are signal pins — the remaining balls are core and I/O supply pairs.
