Bulk capacitance for tight boards
The TAJW157M006RNJ: This is a 150 µF molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, rated at 6.3 V with a 300 mOhm ESR. The 2312 (6032 Metric) case and 1.50 mm seated height fit under low-profile assemblies where a standard 7343 case would exceed the clearance. The ±20% tolerance is typical for tantalum electrolytics in decoupling and hold-up roles.
It suits outdoor telecom gear, engine-bay electronics, and avionics power rails that see wide thermal cycling. The 300 mOhm ESR limits self-heating at ripple currents typical of a buck converter output; budget the ripple current against the ESR to stay within the 125°C ceiling.
