The TAJT685M006SNJ is an active-production molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series. It delivers 6.8 µF capacitance with ±20% tolerance at a rated voltage of 6.3 V. The 5 Ohm ESR sets the ripple current ceiling and self-heating limit — in a bulk decoupling or output filter role, the ESR dominates the impedance at the switching frequency, so the capacitor's ripple current rating tracks the dissipation factor.
Temperature range and case
The molded construction and 1411 (3528 Metric) / 1210 case keep the footprint compact: 3.50 mm x 2.80 mm, seated height 1.20 mm max. Surface-mount assembly on a standard FR-4 board; the T case code matches the 1210 footprint.
