The TAJT106M016RNJ: Rated 10 µF at 16 V with ±20% tolerance, this TAJ-series molded tantalum delivers the bulk capacitance needed for decoupling a 3.3 V or 5 V rail where the ripple current stays within the 2.2 Ohm ESR ceiling. The 2.2 Ohm ESR at 100 kHz sets the self-heating under ripple — a 200 mA ripple current dissipates roughly 90 mW, which is manageable in the 1411 footprint without derating the temperature range.
The molded case (Type Molded) provides mechanical stability and moisture resistance during reflow — no conformal-coat compatibility issues on a standard FR-4 board.
