Capacitance, voltage, and ESR for the BOM line
The TAJR474K035RNJ is a 0.47 µF tantalum capacitor rated at 35 V, with a ±10% tolerance — a common choice for decoupling a 24 V bus or filtering a 12 V rail where the voltage margin is comfortable. The 15 Ohm ESR is the key thermal parameter: at ripple currents below 100 mA the self-heating is negligible, but in a high-frequency switching supply the ESR sets the power dissipation limit.
It fits avionics power supplies, downhole instrumentation, or satellite payloads where the board sees thermal cycling from cold soak to internal heat rise. The 125°C upper limit means it can sit near a hot processor or regulator without derating the voltage.
Housed in an 0805 (2012 Metric) molded case, size code R, with dimensions 2.05 mm x 1.30 mm x 1.20 mm seated height. The surface-mount footprint is standard — no special pad geometry required. Cut Tape is also available for prototype builds.
