The SCMR18H105PRBB0 is a 1 F supercapacitor rated at 6 V, part of the KYOCERA AVX SCM series. The 1 F capacitance stores enough charge for short-duration backup or peak-power assist in a compact radial can. The 250 mOhm ESR at 1 kHz sets the internal resistance floor — this determines how much current the cap can deliver into a transient load and how much heat builds during charge/discharge cycles.
Operating window and endurance
Rated for -40°C to 65°C, the SCMR18H105PRBB0 fits indoor and sheltered outdoor environments where the ambient stays below the 65°C ceiling. The 1000-hour lifetime at 65°C means derating is required for continuous high-temperature exposure — at lower temperatures the life extends significantly. The through-hole radial package with 0.453" (11.50 mm) lead spacing and PC pin termination is a standard footprint for board-level energy storage — mates into 0.100" pitch prototyping grids and common supercapacitor layouts.
