The SCMR14L334SRBB0 is a 330 mF supercapacitor rated at 9 V, from the KYOCERA AVX SCM series. That capacitance and voltage combination suits it for short-duration backup or pulse-power applications where a battery would be oversized or have cycle-life limits. With an ESR of 500 mOhm at 1 kHz, the internal resistance is low enough that the capacitor can deliver several amperes for tens of milliseconds without dropping the output below the load's minimum operating voltage.
